In the deep trees Flare could see it was very beautiful. There were lots of trees and bushes around, all so beautiful and untouched by humans. Above the tree branches were rustling as the wind pushed and swayed. The sun’s light going through the open spots and touching the ground and bushes. With the wind moving the branches the sun’s light moved with it too and made things all the more graceful. This would be a great place to live but there weren’t any shelter big enough for dragons, all the shelter there is was for the animals. Like she could fit through but she’s a small and other dragon would be joining her so she would need a main root shelter, a camp. Then she thought of flying above and look out through there.

Flare leaped onto a tree, using her claws to stay on it, though it was a little hard since she only had two legs and two wings. But she does have paws in her wings so she could walk like other four-legged dragons. As she climbed to a branch, high above the ground and down low from the top of the tree. From here she crouched and readied herself to jump again, one… two, three and jump. She moved her arms apart from her sides and started to glide a bit then flapping a little till she was in the wind. Now she stopped flapping and let it take her outside of the trees. With the sun hitting her ruby frame she was bright red with the touch of oranges and yellows, mostly from her wings and feathery long tail. Now she looked like a phoenix whose feathers turned on fire.

From where she was now she could see the whole place. There was a huge forest with a river a bit clear one that seemed to have lots of fish from them leaping out of the water. Near the end of the forest or right in it, beside the river, or actually the river started from there, it was a big mountain. To take a closer look she came to the river and flew closer to the mountain, just by awe of its beauty. Now this was a place where she could live and anyone else but she would need one thing as she had water from the river and streams and food from the forest and fish, with lots of space. But she would need shelter and a big one if she wanted to have some followers.

Soon she came to a huge waterfall that had stepping stones that cut across the river. It was misty and the waterfall was loud too, but the river’s movements were soft and graceful. Perfect place for shelter though there would have to be a cave. Flare was thinking there might be one behind the waterfall so she leaped on the stepping stones to get to one of the banks. Breathing in, not just from tiredness but also excitement and worry. The mist was strong though and it was hard to see, but she didn’t dare give up as she walked on. Narrowing her eyes the bright mist was suddenly darkening and was getting darker till she couldn’t see anything but darkness. It took her a bit to get used to the darkness, but when she did, she really was at awe. There were many sparkly things on the walls and above. All was shining from the waterfall’s light. Flare smiled, this was defiantly the place she had been looking for as it was not big, it was really, really big. It had lots of boulders with cracks that dragons could sleep in and huge cracks in the walls that could be one of her rooms. High above the walls nears the entrance there were spikes so those could be where the guards could keep watch. But what made her really sure it was it was that there was a glowing pool with water droplets falling from the ceiling. This place was perfect for a home for orphans as there was shelter, food, water, space and even the mist with the waterfall to keep the place secret. She smiled and roared in joy “This place will now belong to me, Flareuz of Flaming Hearts, daughter of Sharteuz and Notweuz, Princess of the Flaming Twitch Kingdom.”
